Fashion is a huge, dynamic business that encompasses all aspects of life, from the most personal and personalistic fashion styles to the newest trends and new products.
But fashion also deals with a lot of business too, as companies look for ways to maximise revenue from their products.
What’s the difference?
The first thing to know is that the term ‘fashion’ is a broad term.
There are a lot more brands out there than people realise.
As such, there are a number of brands who have specific terms to describe their range of products.
For example, brands like Zara, Lululemon and Uniqlo all use the term “sewing” to describe the process of creating their clothing.
But there are others who don’t necessarily refer to their products as “fashion” but simply refer to the process involved in producing their garments.
This is where we come in.
As an online retailer, we’re constantly learning new things and creating more of our own, and so our approach to marketing is much more varied.
To help us with this, we’ve compiled a list of terms and phrases that we use in our own marketing and have used in our advertising campaigns.
These terms and terms are not all inclusive, so we encourage you to browse through our website and let us know if there are any other terms you want to hear about.
